A stylish experience

As a classic salon boat, she offers an intimate experience: every cruise feels personal. She can also serve as a cabin cruiser or yacht for special occasions. History and craftsmanship

The Farahilde began her life as a notary boat and during the interwar period served, among other roles, as the vessel of a traveling doctor from Leiden who visited patients by water. Later she sailed in North Holland until undergoing a major restoration in 2001. From 2001 to 2013, artist and philosopher Jan Koens meticulously restored the vessel at Shipyard Vooruit in Zaandam. In 2013, the Farahilde was acquired by Miloe van Bodegraven and Reinhard Spronk of Rederij De Jordaan. Since then, she has been carefully used for private cruises and intimate events.

Interior and sailing characteristics

The interior breathes classic craftsmanship: teak slatted benches with fine leather cushions and upright teak backrests create both atmosphere and comfort. The traditional steering wheel, fixed sun and rain canopy on the teak superstructure, and brass uprights with partially fixed teak windows and canvas covers complete the picture. Thanks to her smooth sailing and discreet engine sound, the Farahilde is ideal as a pleasure craft and cabin boat for relaxed cruises.
