Reinhard told us any number of things about the buildings, boats, waterways, bridges and even made the brick walls interesting.

Great value for money

Reinhard brought the smaller of his boats for our 2-hour private trip around the waterways and it was perfect for what we wanted to do. The boat was old but looked anything but that – it’s very stylish and well maintained. People were taking photos of us as we went past as the boat does look a lot different to the standard tourist boat.

There were strawberries, chocolate, tomatoes and cheese to eat and any number of drink choices. Reinhard told us any number of things about the buildings, boats, waterways, bridges and even made the brick walls interesting. He also covered a lot of Dutch history, economics, geography, commerce, etc and, being British, we inevitably discussed Brexit!

A private trip is obviously more expensive than the bigger tour boats but it was great value for money and we’d happily go back and spend another couple of hours floating around the city.
